Today has been day 12 of my challenge to get 8 hours of sleep for 30 days straight.
Every day I’ll share my FitBit Surge sleep data.
Aside from that, I want to document how I’m doing in terms of changing my habits:
- No more screens, from 1 hour before bedtime.
- Go for a 15 minute walk during the day.
- No coffee after noon.
- Use my thoughts to get to a place of gratitude before I go to sleep and when I wake up.
Day 12: 6hrs 57min
Spoiler alert: day 12 is gonna be a short blog. Seeing as I only got 6:33hr last night, I can not allow myself to much time for this blog. We’ll catch up later, I promise.
I did not reach my goal.

No more screens, 1 hour before bedtime
Goal reached?
Yes.
I was talking to a friend all night, in real life 🙂
Go for a 15 minute walk
I reached my goal.
I went for a walk outside with my sister a little after noon.

No coffee after noon
I reached my goal. I only had an espresso, early in the morning when I went to pick up my car at the garage.
Be in a place of gratitude
Yes.
I was sharing another night with a friend of mine, talking about life stuff. It made me feel good.
