Today has been day 6 of my challenge to get 8 hours of sleep for 30 days straight.
Every day I’ll share my FitBit Surge sleep data.
Aside from that, I want to document how I’m doing in terms of changing my habits:
- No more screens, from 1 hour before bedtime.
- Go for a 15 minute walk during the day.
- No coffee after noon.
- Use my thoughts to get to a place of gratitude before I go to sleep and when I wake up.
Day 6: 7hrs 29min
I did not reach my goal.
I slept a minute less than last night, which was 7hrs 30min.

No more screens, 1 hour before bedtime
Goal reached?
No, but almost. I was Skyping on my laptop with a good friend from the USA. So in my mind, it is not as bad as staying up watching random videos or getting stuck in an information loop, researching things on the internet.
Go for a 15 minute walk
Goal reached?
Yes. I walked for 15 minutes after my lunch. Alone, this time.

How was it?
Pretty hasty.
I felt like I had a lot to do and needed to get this walk done quickly.
So I decided that these 15 minutes of walking would still be 15 minutes of walking whether I feel a certain way or not, so I better enjoy them. Which is easy to say and hard to do 😉
No coffee after noon
Goal reached?
Yasssss.
How was it?
It’s a no brainer. The only times it gets hard is when someone brews a fresh pot of coffee in the afternoon because the smell of freshly brewed coffee makes me think of good times and makes me want to have some too.
Be in a place of gratitude
Goal reached?
Haha, you funny. No. I was unable to break through the amount of pressure in mah head.
How was it?
Impossibru!!
